Help !

fortran is a general purpose programming language, perhaps biased towards science and engineering applications. It is not a 'popular' language. It is not taught in schools; but it is still very widely used.

Where do you go for help when working on an existing fortran codebase ? Those recently out of university are not fortran savvy, and the writer of the code has moved on.

First place to look for help is the gfortran info file, which is distributed with all copies of gfortran. In linux, the command is 'info gfortran'.

This mailing list is a place where you can ask for help from experienced fortran programmers. All types of questions are encouraged; from the most simple "how do i print out an integer" to the most complex.
